Stoney is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He’s been working in the mental health field since 1996. His undergraduate training was at Carson-Newman College with a degree in psychology. He went on to get his nursing degree and practiced as a registered nurse at Central Regional Hospital for several years, working mostly with children and adolescents. He received his master’s degree in nursing which he completed at UNC Chapel Hill.

I provide comprehensive medication management across the lifespan, guided by a holistic approach that considers nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress reduction as essential components of mental health care. I value each patient’s unique story and strive to build a collaborative partnership. I am committed to finding the right treatment plan, and I’m not hesitant to adjust medications when necessary to align with your individual needs and body chemistry.”
